HAAG 45’ designed sloop “KIWI BLUE” For Sale, in good condition. (CURRENTLY IN
MACKAY MARINA AUSTRALIA) recently
antifouled and anodes replaced.
Built by Haag Yacht builders
in NZ in 1998 in strong marine grade steel
rolled hull with steel decks, “KIWI BLUE” has had only three owners and
the current owners have had her since 2019. Registered in New Zealand “KIWI
BLUE” has been maintained to a high standard and regularly updated. She has
circumnavigated New Zealand and twice cruised the Pacific, including Tonga,
Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia. On the second voyage she cruised Fiji and
Vanuatu extensively before sailing North to the Solomon Islands, South through
the Lousiades and on to Australia. “KIWI BLUE” then joined the 2014
rally through Indonesia to Singapore and has since cruised extensively
throughout Malaysia and Thailand.
The hull and decks are steel
with an integral lead-filled keel, steel hatches and double steel watertight
bulkhead doors. She is Powered by a reliable Yanmar 4JH4HTE -110hp diesel
(last serviced Jan 2021) cruising economically at 6kn at 1600rpm.
“KIWI BLUE” carries 1
x Mainsail, 1 x Furling Genoa, 1 x Furling Jib, 1 x Gennaker
and a Storm Sail giving her an excellent overall ocean going performance. “KIWI
BLUE” features 5 berths with the double in the saloon, a Lavac toilet,
eutectic refrigeration / freezer, dual S/S sinks, and a separate shower
cubicle. Electronics include a Furuno 16nm radar, Midas sounder, Coursemaster
700 autopilot, Icom ICM 45 VHF, Icom 710 HF, Vesper XB 8000 AIS (2014),
Raymarine ST60 wind gear and a Northstar 538 GPS.
“KIWI BLUE” is a
proven cruising yacht extremely well built and maintained and deserves
consideration if you are in the market for a reasonably priced blue water
